Sunday School
In the book of Isaiah we read, “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children (isa 54:13)
Christ Jesus emphasized this teaching, as follows: “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God.” John 6:45
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Nairobi, provides a Sunday School service at the same time as the Sunday service (11:00 a.m.). Children and teenagers, up to the age of 20, are welcome to Sunday School. Students learn about God as Love, and more about their relationship with Him.
Students and their teachers explore the Scriptures and learn about Bible stories. They also study Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy. Bible Lessons consist of the Ten Commandments, The Lord’s Prayer and its Spiritual interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy, the Sermon on the Mount (including the Beatitudes), and questions and answers derived from the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons.
Thanksgiving Service
The Thanksgiving service is held on the second Thursday in December from 5:30 pm. This is a hybrid service. You are invited to attend in person or over Zoom. The zoom link will be provided several days before the service.
